Sewing Basics 2 Class Project: Zippered Boxy Pouch
Whether you’re looking to mend your own clothes, explore a new creative hobby, or build a foundation for more advanced projects, this welcoming, hands-on class will give you the skills and inspiration to begin your sewing journey.
Continue learning the sewing basics in a relaxed, hands-on two-hour class led by both Desert Sage girls! This session is a follow-up to Sewing Basics 1 and covers presser feet, needle selection, basic machine maintenance, zippers, and completion of a sewing project to take home and show off! Perfect for newly-acquainted seamsters who are familiar with their sewing machines, can already thread and troubleshoot the startup, and are interested in zippers and bag making — arrive ready to sew and leave with practical knowledge and a finished piece. Bring your own sewing machine (rentals available) and your precut materials (instructions for these can be found on your confirmation page).
Don’t have your own sewing machine….*yet*? That’s okay! We will bring one for you. Sit back & relax. When you show up to class a machine will already be set up, threaded, and ready to sew!
